I’ve joined up with Four Kitchens and resigned my position with Williams Randall Marketing.
I’ll be working remotely. I promise to wear pants.
This will impact everything in my life.
What I will be doing
I’ll be doing the front-end development for big Web sites, mostly in Drupal, my favorite CMS. Maybe I’ll build other things. I’m currently exploring React and Swift. Time will tell.
Sad to leave Willran
I’ve had the pleasure of working with a lot of bright and kind people during my tenure at Williams Randall. Some days I wished that they weren’t so talented and nice so that I had something to complain about.
One of the lessons that I’ll carry with me is that like Star Trek, you can have a room full of geniuses working together in harmony towards shared goals.
Yes, we’re moving back to PA. But not tomorrow.
This part of the news is the embodiment of bittersweet. If you know me, you know that I call Pennsylvania home. I yearn for the mountains, valleys, cloudy weather, trees, tight roads, yinzer jagoff “stiller” fans, and Sheetz gas stations of western PA.
Indianapolis welcomed me with open arms. By the end of the first week I had a gaming group and a circle of friends who have gotten near and dear to my heart. I love you all. I’m sorry to leave you.
The House
We’re going to list the house for sale in the spring. This’ll give us a chance to do a couple of things to the house before we sell it.
More importantly this will give us a chance to spend more time with the folks we love here in Indy. Also, a few day trips to Chicago, St Loius, etc…
I’m sorry I didn’t tell you personally
I’m fortunate to know a lot of wonderful people who I care about. I wanted to tell each of you personally all the details about what was going on and to walk you through this change. It just wasn’t practical. I’m sorry. I love you.
